We're back, We're sooo jet lagged

We are back in New York and glad to be home. We arrived home on Tuesday the 24th.
We need a few days to recover as we had about 30+ hours of travel (air and connection time) to do in order to get home: Calcutta to Delhi to Chicago to New York. We are very jet lagged. Will and I are convinced it would not be too hard to recover from jet lag if it weren't for the kids. They wake up at 1:00 a.m. every night and are up till about 6:00 a.m. It's like we're living in a twilight zone here with so many people napping during the day and the liveliness of our home in the middle of the night.
We have so much to share with you about our last two weeks in India we don't know where to begin. We have not blogged about our camel riding on sandunes outside of Jodhpur, the amazing wedding events in Jaipur and Calcutta, elephant riding in Jaipur, visiting the tea gardens, riding an elephant in the grasslands- just to mention a few things. We also have to tell about so many amazing people we met along the way. We are in love with India and hope to get back there some day soon as we know we have barely touched the surface.
We are glad to be home. For our first meal back we had some big steaks (hard to find beef in India), a large salad of dark greens, and all the tap water we wanted. Yum.

  1. Welcome home! I sure hope you will fill us in on all those great stories - I'd love to read about your adventures (and of course see photos).

Jet lag is challenging with kids - we had lots of trouble with London and obviously that's only half the time difference. I do think that it's harder coming in this direction too. Hopefully you'll all be rested and sleeping well soon.
